RO.A.D.2015.10 Launch

Sheba Distribution SRL, a Garmin representative in Romania, has the pleasure to announce the availability of the new edition of the Digital Atlas of Romania v7.10, RO.A.D.2015.10.

Continuing in the well known tradition for the Romanian Garmin customers, the Digital Atlas of Romania holds on to the number one place in the GPS road navigation map charts by bringing an extra 5,820.95 km of roads up to a grand total of 365,385.23 km, having significant increased coverage added in the counties Braşov, Covasna, Dâmboviţa, Ilfov, Caraş-Severin and Hunedoara and the number of POIs raises in this edition to a staggering 420,883 points divided into 507 categories.

RO.A.D.2015.10 is the only GPS navigation map in the world that combines topographic details with a routable road network – including dirt roads and trails – with postal addresses of unequaled precision, towns with extruded 3D blocks of flats and detailed 3D textured models for both old patrimony buildings and new skyscrapers, true landmarks of today’s urban space. Map updates are constant and consistent from one edition to another and are documented in the Map Diaries, where all the contributions and their respective authors are mentioned together with the names of the cities and the map tiles that have changed.

Compared with common maps on the market, the Digital Atlas of Romania has an unequaled level of detail and actuality, featuring the A1 motorway segment between Pecica and Nădlac, the A1 link from Apoldu, access to A1 from Cut, two service spaces on A1, the third portion of the Suceava ring, the Mihai Eminescu underground passage from Iaşi, plus the wind farms from Vlădeni, Făcăeni and Mihail Kogălniceanu from Ialomiţa county, Sarichioi and Valea Nucarilor from Tulcea county, Băleni from Galaţi conty, the solar farms from Crivina and Ciocăneşti, the oil fields from Răcari and many other together with access to them.

Age fortified settlement from Satu Nou and the Bronze Age fortified settlement from Răcăciuni, of the iron age fortification from Pecica-Între vii, the roman baths from Târgşor, the trenches west of Ocna Sibiului, the narrow railroad built by the german/austro/hungarian army in the first world war between Scorţaru Vechi and Râmniceni, the german trenches from Scorţaru Nou, the german? trenches form the first world war from Pietroiu and Baldovineşti, the 1939-1940 Romanian bunkers from the Brăila sector of the Focşani-Nămoloasa-Brăila Fortified Line, tens of monuments from the first and second world wars, public forum monuments and military cemeteries together with almost all of the monuments dedicated to the anticommunist resistance, the deported to Bărăgan and the victims of the communist regime from the entire territory of Romania.
