RO.A.D.2025.15 Launch

RQA, a Garmin technology dealer in Romania, has the pleasure to announce the availability of the new edition of the Digital Atlas of Romania v17.15, RO.A.D.2025.15.

Continuing in the well known tradition for the Romanian Garmin customers, the Digital Atlas of Romania holds on to the number one place in the GPS road navigation map charts by bringing an extra 823.46 km of roads up to a grand total of 478,681.41 km and the number of POIs raises in this edition to a staggering 1,020,940 points divided into 538 categories.

RO.A.D.2025.15 is the only GPS navigation map in the world that combines topographic details with a routable road network – including dirt roads and trails – with postal addresses of unequaled precision, towns with extruded 3D blocks of flats and detailed 3D textured models for both old patrimony buildings and new skyscrapers, true landmarks of today’s urban space. Map updates are constant and consistent from one edition to another and are documented in the Map Diaries, where all the contributions and their respective authors are mentioned together with the names of the cities and the map tiles that have changed.

Compared with common maps on the market, the Digital Atlas of Romania has an unequaled level of detail, coverage and actuality, featuring the A7 motorway between Baba Ana and Pietroasele, including the bridge over the Buzău river, the 3rd lot of the A0 South motorway between DN5 and A1, the A1 motorway between Măniceşti and Curtea de Argeş, the Dex4 Turda – Dej between DN1 and A3, the 4th lot of Dex12 between Albota and A1, the overhead passage over DN1 from Therme Baloteşti, the NATO bridge from Cincşor, the Făgăraş ring, the Biharia ring together with the new link to Paleu, the subteranean passage Tudor Vladimirescu from Oradea, the new bridge over Someş from Satu Mare, the arch bridge from Galaţi, the Mizil ring as well as the new breakthrough between Emil Racoviţă and Şoseaua Berceni and the temporary routing solution in Piaţa Unirii from Bucureşti.

The airfield runways from Clinceni, Ciocăneşti, Vânătorii Mici, Piteşti, Gagu, Prejmer, Sânpetru, Corona, Sânmihaiu Român, Sânmihaiu German, Mărgineni, Topoloveni, Băicoi, Băneşti and Iaşi-Sud have been mapped and the international airport from Iaşi runway has been introduced.

Detailed acces to the retail stores: Lidl Apelor from Ploieşti, Lidl Bucov, Lidl, Penny and Kaufland from Urziceni, Penny Buzău, Penny and Pepco from Berca, Penny Market and Profi from Tărtăşeşti, Crevedia Retail Park and Kaufland from Crevedia, Kaufland and DN1 Value Center from Baloteşti, Lidl Calea Rahovei 284 and Kaufland Emil Racoviţă from Bucureşti, Dedeman Alexandria, Shopping City Târgu Mureş, Lidl and Penny Market from Topliţa, Profi Periş, Altex and Lem’s from Câmpina have been introduced. New oneway streets and speed restrictions have been added together with 38 (thirtyeight) new roundabouts.

For the history afficionados in this edition were introduced the detailed elements (point, rampart, ditches, access) of the bronze age stronghold from Sălacea-Dealul Vida, the point of the bronze age megaron temple from there, of the bronze age fortified settlement from Şimian-Kerthelyek (point, rampart, ditch), of the bronze age tell from Tiream-Kendershalom (point, ditch), of the bronze age tell from Petreu-Zongora (point, ditch), of the Otomani II Culture tell from Crestur-Cetăţuie (point, ditch) and the points of the fortified bronze age setttlements from Andrid-Corlate and Andrid-Dealul Taurilor. Two previously unknown fortifications were introduced: a possibly prehistoric fortification, probably Dacian, at Cinciş-Cerna – Muchea Cerului and a possible roman castrum at Cinciş-Cerna – Dealul Cernei. Introduced the Dacian stronghold from Budeşti-Dealul Băţului (point, rampart) as well.

Various other heroes’ comemorative monuments from the two world wars have been mapped as well.

Featuring an original concept, with updates three times a year, the result of more than 21 years of continuous development of the experts and contributors of the Digital Romania Project team (www.romaniadigitala.ro), the Digital Atlas of Romania is the choice of professionals in all fields and the preferred navigation tool for all nature goers.
